TTDC,Mahabalipuram. Review on Mahabalipuram

Well Folks,

I stay in Chennai with my husband.This long weekend though we spent time just relaxing at home, we did take some time out to visit the nearest vacation point "Mahabalipuram."

Though we did not go till the main sea shore we went till the TTDC resort which is bang next to the Indian Oil petrol pump on the begining of Mahabalipuram.

This government resort has rooms to stay just opposite to the sea shore. Anyone visiting this places for a few hours can park their vehicles and venture into the sea.i mean seashore.We have been there many times and find it the best place to freak out in the sea. There are not many people except a few families. Its is a best place to go with ladies.

Though the TTDC recommends tourists not to venture into the sea as the sea being very rough there.tourists do venture into it at their on risk by not going deep into the waves to play. One has to be careful if they have kids around.

But one drawback of this resort is that they dont have a kitchen of their own where they prepare fresh food and any other edible items. Last time we had planned to lunch their on their "so called buffet" costing something like Rs.50/-but it was hardle a buffet as they had alloted servers at the counters who would serve them for you.We did manage with some sandwich n tea as it was evening.They did have some chips n biscuits too.

So my suggestion is go prepared with maybe a loaf of bread n jam or cheese.Just go n play in the water away from the general crowd in almost what is called a Private Beach, though not sophisticated. It will surely suit the pockets for a normal man who just wants to spend some time in the late evening there.

Maybe u can eat something on the way back.
