Its yummy. Review on Maggi Soup

I love soups as a low-calorie, low-fat snack option. But cans don't always do it for me, and I don't always have the time for home-made soups. So I am always looking for soup packets. I find them to be a reasonable compromise between the ease of cans and the effort of home-made.

Most of the soups I eat start with a chicken base, or occasionally a beef base. But today's recipe is a tomato base. I am trying Maggi's Tomato Soup Mix with Vermicelli Pasta. Like many of the Maggi products, English is the second language on the packaging. So, in fact, this product is primarily referred to as Fideos Sopa con Tomate.

Call it what you will, the picture on the front of the envelope looks amazing. You see a bowl of bright red soup, with tons of fat pasta noodles. In fact, if almost looks like a bowl of pasta with spaghetti sauce, rather than a soup. Indeed, it was the lure of this picture that got me drooling for this soup.

I thought the package and nutritional values information was fantastic, but I feel they lacked in flavour for me and my kids, we tend to eat a huger variety of foods but most tend to be quite rich and spicy. Because of this I felt they were lacking.

I PARTICULARLY LIKE. The great nutritional information, and the bright straight forward packaging.

IT'LL BE NICE TO IMPROVE. More flavor.

I'VE RECOMMENDED IT TO. Children with younger less adventurous taste buds who like low fat snacks.
