Please note that this is a review on Maggi Healthy Soups - a recently added product on the Maggi list in India.
Health is the flavour of the season. Food companies in India are growing aware of the increasingly changing consumption trends and taste preferences among the Indian junta. No surprises, but this is the reason more and more companies are coming up (or are actually re-marketing) with products that are healthy. Take for example Coke and Pepsi; both have already started looking into the non-carbonated drinks category section. Maggi first introduced in the market Maggi Atta Noodles – which it claimed was a healthy food as it was made of wheat flour followed by soups.
Nestle India, in an effort to carry on with its trend of providing the Indian consumers healthy food recently introduced a range of Healthy Soups. The entire range consists of the following; maggi tomato, mixed vegetable, tomato vegetable, mushroom, chicken, sweet corn chicken and hot and sour vegetable. The product is priced at Rs 25 for 70 grams.
I recently tasted three of its flavours.- chicken, tomato and mixed vegetable. The tomato version was by far the best. Preparing any of these soups is very easy and thus more popular among my lists of things that I can prepare. The taste is also nice (except in chicken) and the vegetables add a dash of originality. Overall the product is good. We had around 20-22 guests at home and I was assigned the duty to prepare soup for kids and those not drinking. It was easy. All I had to do was pour the contents in a vessel containing water and bring the mixture to a boil. I added some butter and lemon juice to bring on the zing. Rest was easy. Moreover, unlike the other synthetic soups, which when I tasted gave me a burning sensation (stomach) I did not feel anything of this sort in here.
For twenty-five bucks this product seems a good way to beat the chill this winter. Go ahead and try the new Taste bhi health bhi product.
