This is actually supposed to be a review for all Maggi soup products. I am hoping some moderator will file this under "SOUP" category since it wasn't available while writing the review (I put it under Food > Drinks.. which is the only food related category for review).
Anyways, Maggi soups. I tasted them ALL when I was sick a few weeks ago. I tasted them along with a lot of Knorr soups for comparison, so I will probably post a review for Knorr later.
Do you know that maida flavor and smell in Maggi's masala noodles? Yeah, their secret recipe or whatever it's they call it. Prepare to taste that smell in EVERY SOUP from Maggi.
I first tried the Creamy Chicken and after eating it, promptly vomited out the disgusting crap in the toilet. I tried their vegetable soup next, it has a weird ghee like texture and tastes same as chicken with typical Maggi smell they are so proud of. I vomited this too, an hour later (I ate it the next day btw). Their tomato soup is like someone put tomato sauce in a glass of water and decided to call it a soup (IT LOOKS ORANGISED ENOUGH, AFTERALL).
The point is, unless you are planning a vomit marathon, I wouldn't touch any Maggi soup with a 50" pole.
Maggi soups:
Taste like maida flavored masala noodles from Maggi. All of them.
Terrible ghee like texture in every soup and the smell, my god the smell, I can still taste it.
Once you taste this crap, prepare to have that taste linger in your body for a week or so. I am not joking, the taste doesn't disappear no matter how much you brush your teeth and gargle with special mouth wash.
In comparison, Knorr is better. But even with Knorr I would recommend their Thick Tomato Soup only. Funny bit. I ate something which didn't agree with my stomach recently and to vomit it out, I had to imagine Maggi soup taste. It worked magically. Vomited the crap I ate in a few seconds afterwards. THIS is how bad Maggi soup is. I now have it memorized just in-case I need to vomit one magical day (and no, I don't enjoy vomiting, just a FYI, I am not a supermodel).
