I visited lonavala and everybody was selling chikki there. We bought almost Rs 1000+ chikki there.
We found that it simple gachchak or gur ki patti. Anyway we thought it must be something good and reached home.
When we opened it, we found that in the packet only top layer was of dry fruit in dry fruit chikki and layer was low quality gur ki patti. Actual cost of complete thing we bought was not more than 100 Rs.
It is unnecessarily famous. I would not recommend people taking it directly to home, but open and verify there itself.
