I stayed at this hotel from 2-4 Feb 2011. The first impression of the hotel was good, but later on the true picture came up. The room was fine, but we had asked for an extra bed and got only a mattress. Also the mattress was not laid properly, the bedsheet and blanket just thrown on top of it. It was not tucked in. The bed linen was not changed the next day and we had to adjust with the same crumpled linen for both the days.
The room service was ok, as we ordered only for bed tea in the morning. The breakfast in the ground floor restuarant Mandapm was ok. It seems that the staff here is allergic to serving water. We had to ask for almost nine times. When you go inside, you are greeted well and escorted to your table, and then no one pays attention to you.
The service rooftop restaurant, not sure of the name(Megam I guess) was a total disaster. The food quality was really good and tasty, but the service overshadowed the food. On the first day we ordered for tandoori chicken, after about 25 mins, when inquired, the steward realized that he has not placed the order with the kitchen and ran inside. Then on the second day, we went to the same place as we were tired and didn't want to go out for dinner. Then we thought of ordering a desert, My mom ordered for something called California Sunrise, and it actually took 55 mins for that. We actually got up from there to leave, then the steward came running with the desert. And moreover, the steward didn't have any apology for that. Very Very filthy service.
I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
