Tonight I wz just browsing Mouthshut 2 c what I could put my opinion to and I c MADONNA ,my favorite mega star!!
Madonna is just a few years older than me. She splashed onto the dance club scene in the early '80's. THat's when MTV was new, and Madonna just seemed to hit at the right time. Once her music videos started to play and her sexy demure performance of LIKE A VIRGIN at the MTV music video awards, the rest is just plain ole' "music history".If u ever c it ..Madonna seems a little nervous! her voice shakes, sorta out of breath. This was her pre-yoga dayz and she is actually quite chubby! She is in a beautiful wedding gown slowly singing her song...walking across the stage..then suddenly she loosens up! And she starts writhing on the ground! This is when she really starts to come alive, being "naughty" as she so often is...I really don't think she knew what she was starting: a trend in lots of antique jewelry. big bow headbands, off the shoulder tees, body permed bobs, etc . Madonna was & still is very beautiful. After that the mega dance hits flowed...then she put out the SEX book......which was little over the top. Then the Sean Penn marriage....then some of the movies she made were flops...then came the dabble into really risque controversial stage shows with the Jean Paul Gautlier costumes {cone bra} Remember her controversial Pepsi commercial....using Like a Prayer for the music?? I actually like when Madonna colors her hair dark. Then came the sexy, sexy videos Erotica, Justify my Love, Human Nature etc...I personally loved when she came out with Frozen, Power of Good bye, the whole Indian , Mehndi, Bendi look....Then the Cowgirl look with Music & Tell Me...Ray of Light is one of my favorite tunes, and from what I understand is when she met her new husband Guy Ritchie. On the liner notes on her best of cd it says he saw her in the Ray of Light video and fell in love! She does look fantastic...and do u know it was Madonna who brought in that look of low rise jeans. I love the song from Austin Powers, Beautiful Stranger...I hope u r able to c that video. Madonna always gives props to her disco dayz & usually puts out "club remixes" of her most danceable tunes. I am happy that Madonna has really matured, has nice loving family...and now writes children's books. Her latest adoption of the African child, is her family/s business so I will not give my opinion on that subject. And yes I feel when u r a star u r moved to the head of the line when other parents are waiting so desperately, but hey, that's just me!
Her most recent CD I liked very much. Her performances on awards shows are always show topping. No, I didn't dig the Britney /Christina kissing scene {but hey that's just me}
I listen to Madonna in the car.And I pump up the volume! {does anyone say that anymore?}
My favorite songs are:
La Isla Bonita- I love how she infuses Spanish guitar in many of her tunes
Take a Bow-I love this video and the Spanish matador Emilio Munoz who is also her love interest in this video.
Power of Goodbye- Such simple words, but it's true...
So I guess I shall say Goodbye too! :)
