Today il be reviewing one of my best donut's parlour, yeah u've heard it right. 1stly why would someone review a donut parlour? Is it so good? Been around the town at various donut parlours, but no parlour impressed me so much so that made me come back again to the parlour. All of them were one time try, even the range was ok kind of but frankly speaking none of them impressed me at all.
Then looking at my donut's craze one of my friend suggested me MOD, I totally dint understand his abbreviation and to my excitement I asked him what does that mean, he proununced it as Mad Over Donuts. The name seemed quite interesting and something different, and then I made up my mind to go to this place.
This is how I was recommended by my friend about this place. I would like to rate this eatery as 4.5/5 with some disclaimer's that il mention below.
Normally one will recollect donut as something that one used to eat in childhood, round-round bread, at times filled with cream, or sugar coated, or coated with chocolate. If this fails to impress u to try out one donut, then go MOD and trust me ul go MAD. This place is not only for kids but also for everyone, and if ur a chocolate lover then u have to visit this place not for god sake..but for ur sake :-P
Donut's loaded with chocolate, dark chocolate, almonds, caramel, etc. These eateries specialize in making donut's damn well, and this brand is well known among youth. The retro stylish donuts are no more the same, having a donut before was not so interesting and fun but nowadays its really a kind of treat that everyone would love to have.
1stly il speak about the bad's about this place:
Seating arrangement: The 1st thing that has irritated me at this place is the seating arrangement , the place utilization is not up to the mark. Majority of the people have to either stand and eat or choose the take away option which isn't worth as these donut's are meant to be consumed hot and soft. The space is too small to accommodate even 15 people. But there are place where one can stand and eat facing the walls.
Not-worthy combo offers: The combo offers are not worth it, as an when the staff of MOD see a brand new customer they try to crack combo deals for them, the combo deals are not at all good. The combo deals include stuffs like newly launched flavored sofdrink discounted if purchased with donut, or stuffs like special coffee at a discounted rate if the bill crosses a minimum amount. MOD's are famous for their donut's and not much famous for the coffee or the combo.So I would say try and avoid the combos and the coffee part. Try to keep it simple and order just the things that MOD masters at.
Parking space: No parking space for car/suv's, is another issue at this place. One car can be towed simply for the reason that the guy goes in to buy donuts keeping his car in front of MOD. This gets really irritating especially when a customer just enters for 5 mins and comes back and sees that his car is being towed.
No discount coupons: MOD should provide with discount coupons atleast to the regular customer so that discount can be availed
These were some of the bad's about the place, now moving onto the better half of this place:
Delicious mouth melting stuffs: MOD is all over famous for the donuts quality it provides. There are many donuts/desserts parlour, but all of them fail when it comes to creating delicious mouth melting donuts. MOD has succedded in it, So many delicious flavors that one can never get bored of even if the person has to survive lifetime on these donuts.
Range is infinite: Every time I come back here I try different donut's, constant release of new flavors ensures the diversity in range. Its been almost 2 years that I've visited this place once in a week. Really a awesome range to choose from, and all the range are very delicious and attractive.
Credit cards accepted: Nowadays there are places where credit cards arent accepted and that creates problem for customers as many people swipe. MOD accepts credit cards and hence customer can ensure smooth payment via credit cards.
Ambiance: The ambiance is quite cool, and very pleasant with music going on. If one finds a table to sit the place seems very devine and fresh. Standing and eating makes it a bit uncomfortable.
Home delivery: On a minimum order of 250 home delivery is being given. The home delivery services are on time, but the prob is that the chocolate coated donut becomes a bit hard and the taste is lost. I would recommend that one should consume the donut's within 10 mins or else the awesome taste won't be felt.
Good customer service: The order placed is within the specified time and customers are attended immediately.
Worth for the money: The donut range starts from Rs 50 and onwards so its not that expensive considering the quality of donut one gets. If we check the stats for the ratings of MOD on various sites, it scores a 3.9 pointer out of 5, but I personally feel that if its a 3.9 pointer I would consider it 0.5 more as its a well known fact that if someone is satisfied with some product he/she wont tend to write, but if something goes wrong in a sense of anger he/she has more probability of writting a negative review. So I would rate it as 4.4/5

Now I move onto the MENU as to what all does MOD has in store for us?
This is the most exciting thing about this place..the range of donuts are enormous and endless, I've tried around 50-55 different donuts, and everyone is special in its kind. My favourite is DOUBLE TROUBLE among all the donuts.
There are 3 main sections, 1st being DONUTS 2nd being COFFEE and 3rd being BRING'EM BACK
Among these DONUTS AND BRING'EM BACK COME IN MUST TRY CATEGORY, I would suggest that the 3rd category can be tried out by those people who like Coffee taste donuts.
The DONUTS CATEGORY are further classified as RING DONUTS, FILLED DONUTS & BITES. All the 3 sub categories are great and recommended by me.
- Ring donuts: These donuts come with flavors on them without any centre filled cream, there are around 7 flavors that can be tried Rainbow surprise - It is flavoured with white chocolate and many fine particles sweetners. This is special cause of the white chocolate. Moderately recommended 4/5
Original Sin - This one is mixed version of smooth milk chocolate with white chocolate. Highly recommended & 4.8/5
MOD (My Original Donut) - As this is named on the brand itself ie MOD it has to be something special and so is it, this is something different only and impressive too. Highly recommended 4.8/5
Midnight beauty - Mixture of dark chocolate with traces of white chocolate, and if ur a chocolate lover then u cant afford to miss this. Highly recommended 4.9/5
Dark knight - Crushed oreos on top of white chocolate. Personally this donut failed to impress me to that an extent but can be tried once. One time recommended 3.7/5
Colour me bad - This is same as RAINBOW SURPRISE but with a minor change that instead of white chocolate, the donut is dipped in milk chocolate. Highly recommended 4.8/5
Cinnaster - This donut is something different consiting of sugar and spice. Really something different. Recommended once 3.9/5
Now come the filled donuts
This is what I like the most, its the best as there are filling inside the donut and its very delicious.
A must must must must try to everyone, u can miss this out after coming here.
