I visited Machaan last sunday for dinner with family. We were around 8. Machaan is located at top floor of Mani Square mall at E.M Bypass.
The restaurant is jungle themed. The place was almost vacant so we easily got a seat for 8. There is a statue of tribe at thr entrance. As we entered the restaurant there is a big elephant. We got the seat besides the giraffe. The ambience and decor was totally designed to correlate with the jungle theme.
There was a music being played in the background which also synchronised with the theme.
Coming to food we ordered vegetable kebab platter. It had 3 pieces each of foyr different kebabs. We asked the staff to replace brocolli with potato but he refused. The kebab was good in taste.
For mains we ordered kadhai paneer, subz dum handi, Aloo dum, machaan dal makhani, oniin chilli kulcha, masala kulcha and jeera rice.
The khadai paneer waa not at all good. It was supposed to be spicy but it was sweet. The subz dum handi was average. The dal was good to have. The onion chili kulcha did not have onion or chilli.
The jeera rice was well prepared.
We asked the staff for 8 gulabjamun but he took alot of time to serve. He served fresh lime before gulab jamun. The staff was not cooperative and rude.
The bill was around 4k. A very heavy price payed for average food. Not at all worth. No point wasting so much money just for ambience.
