I was searching for a video player to play MKV and 4K videos on my android device. Then I downloaded MX Player, and here is my experience.MX Player is available free on play store.Lets talk about Layout and DesignIt has a very simple and neat file browser which automatically refreshes and immediately shows any new file( tagged as new) .Navigation in the app is also very easy. When a video is playing on full screen it contains button for screen lock, viewing modes, pause, play etc.You can also swipe on left side of screen to increase brightness and on right side to increase sound, which I found very useful while watching videos on fullscreen.MX Player supports various Features. It has hardware acceleration, software acceleration and it also supports multi-core decoding.Whenever I play a video of any codec it smoothly runs it, because it supports almost all the codecs like AVI, MKVFLV, MPEG, WEBM etc.But if sometimes a video doesn't play because of codec support then you can also download additional codecs from playstore, and after that it will run.It also supports subtitles( .srt) files and it can also search for online subtitles for the current playing video. You can also control the subtitle text size and color.I also was able to stream online videos using MX player. It also has Playback resume feature, so you can always watch the video from where you left it.So I found MX player to be very advanced and Useful video player that can be used to play almost any type of video( even 4K and HDR) on android and ios devices.
