I remember when MTV first came out, and I was so happy to be able to watch some of my favorite bands play in videos. MTV has changed after 20 years. It use to play mostly Rock music, then you started to see Rapp come onto the set, with show's like ''YO MTV RAPS''. I really wasn't into Rap music at that time, and that made me stop watching MTV cause I didn't see as much Rock music being played.

I remember when ''Remote Control'' was on MTV. This was a great game show. You had to answer questions about music and bands. It was cool and funny and that is were I first seen Adam Sandler. He was on that show as a deliquent teen doing props for some of the questions. He made the show funny.

Now I have to say I enjoy watching MTV once again. I like some of the new shows that are viewing now, I also feel that they have made MTV more international when it comes to the styles of music they play. I still wish they had more older songs on MTV, but hey guess you have to move ahead in life and come out of the ''OLD DARK AGES'' as my kids call it.

I don't watch MTV as often as I use too, but there are a few show's that I do enjoy watching, they are as follow:

1) TRL. TRL stands for Total Request Live, on this show you have the handsome Carson Daily as the host. The show is broadcasted from NY, and outside the studio you will see many fans gathering around to cheer on TRL and the special guests that appear. TRL gives everyone a chance to call in, or email who they feel should be on the top 10 list of best videos. This is cool cause there is a wide range of different styles of bands on the list. One good rule they have on TRL is a video can only be on the list for 65 days, once they hit their 65th day then that video is considered retired. TRL brings the fans into the set and allows them to be involved in the show. TRL also has special guests that come on and talk to the people. TRL is good for those who are actors/actress's too cause they can go on TRL and promote their new movie. I just feel that TRL gives kids something to do and makes them feel like they are involved in something.

2) Say What Keroki. Dave Holmes is the host of this show and it just love it. Dave is funny and he sure does know his music. What this show is all about is this. They have 3 people who are stars sit on the judging seats, and then they have 3 groups that will preform for the auideance and the judges. The first round the group sings and dances to their favorite song that they chose. Then after all 3 groups do their thing they are then judged. This allows just the two top groups to move forward to the second round. This is called the wheel of death. Reason being is because you don't know what song or band you will have to sing too. I like this part cause sometimes them make real fools of themselves cause they don't know the song they have to sing too. The judge's then rate the group from 0-10. The first judge normally will judge the way the group knew the words to the song. The second judge rates on how well the group looked in style wise. The third judge will rate on the whole performace and style. I like to watch this show cause it is cool to see those groups perform.

Those are just two show's that I like on MTV, but there are more then this to watch. You have show's like Road Rules and Jack Ass, and Doria. Then you can also watch just videos through out the day and night.

MTV had to keep changing with the generations cause if they didn't then they wouldn't be on TV any more. Yes I'm sad that we don't get to see our old 80's music anymore, but I do understand why they had to progress into the future of different music.

With out MTV I don't know if I would have ever heard of some of those great bands out there today.
