When I moved out of my parents' house, I dreaded at the thought of cooking myself. I tried eating out at South Indian restaurants, but it was getting costly for a single guy in Mumbai. I tried getting a maid to do the cooking, but that option was as costly as eating out, and ruled out due to my long office hours. For some time, I subsisted on maggi and top ramen noodles. But those stuff which contain mono sodium glutamate was hard on the tummy! MTR Upma is a godsend to 'Madrasi' bachelors living the worldover! Developed together with DRDO, MTR Upma is a easy-to-cook, in-a-jiffy meal. Unlike other products like noodles, this is quite healthy, and will never send you running to the bathroom once in a while. Just cut open the pouch, cook in boiling water, and have it any time of the day. This doesn't even require cooking skills, one just has to know how to light up the stove, boil water, and stir contents togther. The only trouble is this fast and convenient food is not available everywhere - even in Mumbai, one has to hunt (not much though) for shops carrying this delicacy. I strongly recommend this product for not just South Indian bachelors living alone (or out of home town), but for all people who would like to have a taste of 'Madrasi' cooking.
