Update: My telephone line went down few weeks back and all the tickets I logged were closed automatically without any confirmation. I had tried following with the line man, escalated to the Sub divisional engineer, then the divisional engineer and nothing happened. I had to finally raise the issue to the area manager and general manager. 2 days after I raised the escalation, the line man can back and patched the cabling to another distribution box's wiring. ( please note that he literally patched the wires as the junction box indeed was faulty.)
Further, for lengthening the cable, he did a patch with normal wire without any insulation tape even after I requested him to do so with the reason that the connected cables and uninsulated ones would decrease my DSL speed, but he had no ears to listen. Now the telephone line is noisy and I am not sure how may times I'll have to followup or escalate.
Old Review
Hi All,
I had recently ordered for a MTNL broadband at Delhi Mayur vihar P3. I was expecting the land line connection to be installed in 2-3 weeks being the service availed by a Govt company & the broadband service to be enabled in one more week. I submitted my application on a Friday,
To my surprise, the line man had visited my house for the landline installation the same day after noon, he had approached the house owner for installation & due to some miscommunication, he has refused the installation & I came to know of this the next day(Saturday) at around 3 pm.
I then checked with the house owner & got his queries clarified & spoke to the line man at around 4:30 pm.
The line man came at 5: 30 & installed the landline connection & said, it will take a week to activate the BB and the no got activated at around 7:45 pm (on Saturday). Bigger surprise was on Sunday, though he said that it will take a week, the support person visited & installed the modem in the afternoon
End of the day, it is great a Govt company is competing in service quality with the private ISPs.
With this pleasant experience, I would suggest MTNL to all.
Thanks & Regards,
