No longer backed up by service. Review on MORF India Sparkle-X RO Water Purifier

I am from chennai and when the requirement for water purifier came up i did the usual research on the net and various other sources. The products that were available on the market were more or less the same in that they use the same technology and principles. So what was important to me was the after sales service which would be paramount as water filter needs a periodic maintenance and service.

After reading some very good reviews on the service provided by morf i decided to go for morf. I got the sparkle water purifier installed in my home - this was around a year and half ago. I am happy to say that the decision i made was a good one.

The water purifier is working fine and as i said due to the water conditions in chennai and particularly in my area, the filter needs frequent servicing. This is where morf is outstanding. Till date barring one incident, their service team have always responded well in time. The service persons are polite, knowledgeable and patient enough to answer all my queries as they go about their job.

The one incident which i mentioned was when they did not attend to the fault in time but they have an escalation matrix printed right on their web page. I don't know how many consumer organisations have the courage to display their escalation matrix on their web site, but morf is one. So when i escalated the complaint, the very next day a service engineer was at my residence and the fault was rectified.

So it has been a year and half and i am very pleased with the product and the service. Way to go morf!

I heard that they are expanding since now they have tied up with electrolux. My only wish is as they grow is to keep up the good service and continue to provide their customers their usual level of service and satisfaction.

Update: after the excellent review i had written i feel it is my duty to update as the service levels have gone to a pathetic condition for the last one year. The service technicians are no longer skilled and they seem clueless when attending the faults. The service levels have been dropping alarmingly for the past one year. The recent issue takes the case as a regular service call turned into a nightmare. They came for service and after their service the water filter stopped working. They said that they needed some spare parts and will come back the next day. No one turned up for a week and i had to escalate this. After the escalation, a different person turns up and he comes up with a different diagnosis - the same story again - no spare parts with him - had to go to office - will come - but no one turns up. After repeated phone calls he comes with the spare part - replaces it - but still the filter doesn't work. This time he says he needs another spare part - had to go to office - will come -the story continues.

It's been a month since my water filter stopped working and i am dependent on the water bubble tops. I no longer recommend MORF to my friends or relatives.

Please be aware of the non existent service when you buy this product as regular service is important for a water filter.
