Magical Micromax Q5 fb. Review on MIcromax Q5 EZPAD

Well this article is in continuation of my previous one Zestless Zen 77. As promised, I am pinning down my experience about Micromax Q5Fb mobile phone in this article.

Advantages –

Good Clarity of FM Radio- Never was able to listen to such good clarity while traveling in cabs (Comparing with Nokia). Its was able to catch signals in areas where I never was able to hear FM (you can say... 2-3 floor inside a building) - My Score - 10 / 10

Amazing sound - courtesy YAMAHA Powered Speakers. I tried to listen to the same song in IPOD Shuffle and Q5 with same cords and visa versa... was not able to find any sort of difference.... sound clarity and YAMAHA Speakers - My Score -10 / 10

One important thing.. I heared that Dual Sim phones would have problem of phone getting hung, Non responsive and restarting automatically - But should say in the last 2 months of usage - never had this problem, I am using Vodafone and Tata Dokomo SIM and never had any issues - my Score - 10 / 10

The Phone operating system (User Interface) is smooth and never buckles and no lagging even if my memory card was full. (4 GB) - my score 10 / 10

Easy connect to people in fast moving lifestyle - one touch button for FB and IM Chat Plus it has pre installed Opera Browser and Nimbuz chat. my score 10 / 10

Keypad layout design is amazing with huge space between each row, making it easy to use. My score 10 / 10

TrackBall - this is one good feature in this mobile. my score 8 / 10 (reason not sure how long this trackball would last)

Connectivity to PC -USB Connectivity - really super fast you can copy 100 MB Data in less than few minutes. Also the moment you connect the Mobile to PC you get three options

1) Mass Storage

2) Web Cam

3) Com port

well haven't tried the last one.... but the best part is Mass Storage - You don't require any mobile anti-virus , becoz if you connect the mobile using the first option, the Anti-Virus in the computer would start detecting this as additional storage and would do AUTO SCAN

also the second option is a wonder .. this acts like a webcam and good for those who would use web chatting

Good speed while surfing on the net, phone never hangs’s or freezes while operating any internet applications.

Good Battery Backup - Normal usage of phone appox 60 mins of talk time and 60 mins of playing songs and 30 mins of gaming, it goes for 2.5 to 3 days... what else to expect !!

Charging time - 90 mins using USB and 110 mins using the regular charger

Drawbacks –

Camera - no so good clarity seems like a VGA one even though its written as 2.0 Mega pixel

TFT Screen(320x240) - though the resolution is really good, I doesn't give good experience watching movies... for those interested in downloading movies in movie viewable format... here is the website... https://3gpmobilemovies.com - here you get good clarity movies with size of 100 - 120 MB suitable to all mobiles

No Themes- you will not get any website offering themes for Micromax Q5 fb in the net, because this phone doesn't support themes. Well the Indian mind overcame this issue, What is Theme.. basically its the pattern created on the phone background which makes the phone attractive and also makes the icons look great. The solution for this would be get GIFF files and apply it as the default wallpaper and it does the trick. For those interested - try this website -https://reddodo.com/ and you can create customized animated wallpapes with your name - for any type of mobile phone.

Another tip while selecting the GiFF make sure that the screen size should be 320 X 240, otherwise the animation would cover only half portion of your screen.

Well Friends I don't find any major flaw except the camera, hope those who are using would agree with me.
