The issue with Mi authorized service center is that it is outsourced to TVS electronics in this place. The whole customer experience goes unsupervised at this center. The workers are salaried and they do not care how fast they process the tokens. All they do is just collect phones and return sim card trays. There are 3 processing counters but all of them are never working at same time and the supervisor do not care where the workers are. The processing time per token is like 10 minutes. So, if your number in the queue is 6 be prepared to wait for ONE HOUR.
This center has found a way to make extra revenue per person. Workers do not open the phone in front of customers. No matter how small the issue is they will ask customers to come back after 1-2 hours. In between they will call customers and start talking about other damages which customers have not reported such as USB connector issue, battery swollen, some wire broken, liquid damage etc. They will tell customers that cost to replace parts is just 100-300+ GST which many do not mind to pay extra. This is a pure lie to make the EXTRA BUCKS from customer. If customers refuse for the repair they will say that we cannot repair the phone as it does not pass the quality test when connected to laptop.
If customers refuse for repair and collect the phone back the center will still charge Rs 100+ GST to just open the phone. They did it to me although they admitted they could not run the quality test on the phone.
So, overall when you buy a Xiaomi or MI phone in India, be prepared to have horrible experience with UI where Xiaomi put a lot of ADs and service centers that will slowly start looting your off for their extra bucks.
