My brother, his wife and their little baby are living in Luxembourg, so I have been there several times the last few years. Of course I enjoyed the family visits, but I also liked the country.
The city of Luxembourg has a lot of parks and historical buildings. Strangely enough the nature is the first thing that pops up when I am thinking about the town. In the autumn the colored leaves of the trees are wonderful.
The people are friendly to tourists, and often are speaking several languages: French, German, but also English and Dutch. Characteristic are also the many international banks and the offices of the European Union.
Public transportation is cheap, and petrol also is less expensive than in the nearby European countries. The other prices are comparable with France, Belgium and Germany, the surrounding countries.
In the summer there are a little bit too much tourists in my opinion.
