Hi Guys.
I have been using this inverter for last one month, properly speaking, I switching from APC 850VA inverter to this stupid inverter. My review will be basically a comparison between the APC and Luminous.
- The model number says 1100, easy to misguide customer that this is a 1100VA inverter. Some sellers even put the title as "Zelio 1100VA" inverter. This is wrong. The cheaply printed lable on back reads 900VA/530W.
Luminous and sellers are deceiving customers with the 1100 title.
Is it really 900VA? If is 1100VA, why it is written 530W is a question for me. Because VAxPF= watts. For resistive loads, PF= 1 and 900VA= 900W. Not coming to my experience, I have a Crompton 750W iron, which worked just fine on my APC 850VA inverter. I can use a bulb along with 750W iron making it close to 850W. But on this 900VA, it keeps on tripping. It remains ON, but beeps after a while an shut down, showing it cannot 750W output.
My experience with APC prove me that even my washing machine could run on my inverter when there is no power. But the inverter never gave any hiccups. But with the luminous inverter, I noticed that whenever there is a load change in line, there is a vibration in power output. The LED bulbs is just waves bright and low when I turn on my TV etc. This has never happened with APC.
The load factor is still a concern for me. It might sound crazy, but I even had my fridge connected to inverter and it ran fine on APC. But after switching to luminous I noticed that I had to turn off fridge every time power goes off. I wonder why! The compressor is not that power consuming. I used to run fridge, 3 fans etc simultaneously without any issue in last 3 years. After switching to Zelio, the frequency of resetting the inverter has gone up.
I was expecting battery voltage in the display. But it shows only remaining backup time and time to charge only. Voltage display is not shown.
I would never recommend this inverter to anyone, because my experience so far bad. I regret for switching from APC to Luminous. I am not sure if APC is still available in market, but if you find one, definitely go for it.
