A rugged looking man sits alone in an airport lounge. Another man in a wheel chair (Bruce Willis) comes along and kicks up a conversation. He tells the story of Max, a guy who went betting, and in the process lost his money, family and life, and then simply murders the chap who listened to it.

Chap 2(Joh Hartnett) -Slevin is in his friend Nick's apartment, after having forgotten to be picked up by Nick, and having had his nose broken by a mugger on his way from . He walks around in his towels, about to bath when he the house becomes a hub for visitors. First a next door girl comes looking for sugar, followed by a couple of African Americans who thump him and take him to their Gangster boss (Morgan Freeman), thinking he is Nick.

Slevin cant proove he is not Nick, because his identity cards were taken with his wallet when he was mugged. Nick owes boss 96 Grant, so boss says 'Nick' has to kill Boss's enemy the rabbi (Sir Ben Kingsley)'s son or suffer the consequences. To our surprise, Slevin accepts the job[Oh man, do people love their friends so much?]! And Boss asks Mr GoodCat - Bruce Willis, who materializes after Slevin leaves, to finish Slevin once the job is done...

Well, the moment he is back in Nick's room, the next set of goons- this time the rabbi's - pick him. Nick owes rabbi 33 Grants. Rabbi gives him a week to return the 33 Grant. Bruce is there also, and now we start wondering what the bloddy hell is all this spaghetti kind of mess. You cant make head or tail of it, and Slevin, according to himself, has this psychological problem [he calls it a name I didnt catch] of nothing bothers me. He goes around cooly planning to kill the rabbi's son, and the movie suddenly comes alive.

As we watch, the story start taking crazy turns, and finally everything falls into place. The plot finally answers every why that you ask, and trying to guess what would happen next would keep you engrossed!!!

The script has its own share of comedy, but lacks the powerful punch lines... A couple of good ones- Slevin enters his girl's room to see her in bed with another guy. Girl-''Honey... it was ... an accident!'' Slevin-''Oh... was it like, you tripped and fell?''

Rabbi- ''Who are you?'' Slevin- ''I am the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time...''

Cast is kind of watchable, but not too great. Bruce willis has nothing to do but keep a blank wall of a face. Josh Hartnett is ok but is overshadowed by Sir Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman. Sound track never existed.... Over all, a watchable movie- good time pass. Not much of violent scenes, the movie proceeds more with the ''oh shit, I thought this was that way'' kind of twists in the tale
