Lucky is an above average flick which is very classy considering the recent Bollywood releases .Though this film may not be liked by the masses(no item song,no crude comedy).
STORY
LUCKY-NO TIME FOR LOVE is the story of Lucky Negi(Sneha Ullal) who has moved to Russia with her family.She is the cute,sweet,innocent schoolgirl who gives priority to her studies.On the ill fated day Lucky is not prepared for a test and prays to god for a chamatkar so that exams are cancelled.
As luck would have it Civil War breaks out in Russia .
Aditya(Salman Khan) is the son of Indian Ambassador to Russia .He is the cute hunk every girl dreams about and Lucky's group of friends are no different.As luck would have it Lucky lands up in Salman's car on the fateful day and both of them are stranded together with terrorists after everyones's lives ,communication lines
being down .
Pindidas Kapoor(Mithun da) is a master of disguises and a man of 17 years intelligence experience.He is entrusted the responsibility by Aditya's father to find Aditya and Lucky.
PERFORMANCE
Sneha Ullal is too good for her first movie.Som may say that she wasn't good but the role demanded that she be the shy,innocent Indian girl knowing nothing about love.Atleast she plays her age and is very convincing in the part of a 17 year old.Her resemblane to Ash is being talked about but I think That's only for the curiosity
of the public to increase though she looks like Ash (in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) in the song ''Jaan meri Jaa rahi Sanam''.
Salman Khan is back.This is the Salman we have loved and liked over the years.Salman is back with a love storyand he is the perfect lover boy.He has acted very well.This performance must silence his critics atleast for the time being
(I am no great fan of Salman but he was 222 good).
Mithun Da was good though annoying at some places by saying out lines from previous hindi movies.He was instrumental in providing the little comic relief.
Vikram Gokhale,Kader Khan,and other actors were OK and portrayed their role convincingly.
POSITIVES
The cinematography is one of the best in this movie.The scenic locales of Russia are captured very well.
The music by Adnan Sami is excellent.All the songs are good especially ''Jaan meri Jaa rahi sanam'',''Shayad yehi to pyar hai'',''Sun Zara'' and ''Lucky Lips''
The new pairing of Salman-Sneha is good.
NEGATIVES
Although this film has its share of loopholes but they r minor and can be ignored for example the characters speaking in Russian where we cant understand a word.Atleast translation could have been provided. I guess its been done to make the movie look more authentic.
BOX OFFICE PROSPECTS
The film is very classy and may not be liked by the masses.The film may have an average-above average run at the box office.
