I titled my review this because I think the movie, just like Fashion, shows us the dark or the other side of the screen and behind the stage happenings. One more step towards the cruel reality, which unfortunately always bites.

Just today I saw the movie and now I was seeing the special repeat of Farhan's Oye Its Friday( Thanks to *Sidz - baruah.siddharth MS ID *, who informed MS about the repeat, timely on his status) and was appreciating this man's talent and charisma. Farhan is an actor who is a master of true cinema in its true sense.

After all those wonderful and ROTD's reviews on this movie, I dont want ppl to get fed up seeing one more same typical story typed review, hence I am trying to make it a little different. How many times do we realise what happens behind the stage and what does this glittery world look like from inside? How many times it happens that we try to judge these actors of silver screen on the basis of what they really are and not what they pretend?

Is this a stage only full of people who CREATE such image and not live upto it? Is this a place only for a typical entertainment which we should have inside the theatre for 3 hrs and then forget? Whats the darkness behind those shiny faces? Are they really that beautiful or they have layers of ugliness within?

The answers lie within the movie.Farhan Akhtar- As Vikram Jai Singh, a struggler who leaves his parents in Delhi and comes to Mumbai with dreams of becoming a star, keeps on waiting for smaller breaks and then finally gets a big one.but does he really get it honestly? NO, he gets it by cheating, by in his terms " Adding sugar to make things sweet" flattering women of his mom's age and flirting with their daughters and lying to his girlfriend. All this at the cost of glamour, fame and money .

SO, whats new? Is this being shown for the first time in Indian cinema? Well, may be not, but for sure the presentation is different. A person whom you would hate, love and sympathise all in a time frame of 3 hrs. Now isnt that different? A person like Farhan who tore his boundaries of being a cute actor to a cute ruthless selfish person, who dint get scare of what he was stepping into. I call that Guts.Very very superb acting from Farhan once again! He is one man who surely knows to hit when the iron is hot, he surely not only knows Where *to hit, but also *How to do that.

5/5 to him for his brilliant acting. So real, so charismatic, so lively, yet so mean. Kudos!Konkana Sen Sharma - As Sona Mishra, a girl from small city of Kanpur, who dint want to become a victim of an orthodox family of her's and get married to anybody or nobody for that matter and just comes out to find her destination in life. She is lured by a small level director who kind of keeps her involved all the time, bringing mere roles to her, all in hope of a big role someday. She finds love and concern with Vikram who just uses her as a tissue paper to wipe off his own tears and gain support.

Whats new again? Is this the first time any girl is being used in movies? Well, again certainly not. But you have to see the movie and this dusky girl's role to find meaning in my content. She is one such marvellous actress who defies logic in anything she plays. Depsite being a dark skinned and not falling in the criteria of those typical beautiful girls of Bollywood, she makes this statement yet true, that "beauty lies within one self" .And on that note, It would be an insult to challenge her talent. She is a beautiful, talented, vivacious and an awesome actress who has a long long long way to go ahead.

Juhi Chawla- As Minty Rolly, wife of renowned director Romy Rolly( Rishi Kapoor), is a decent lady who believes in astrology a lot and keeps supporting her husband in his good and bad times. A meaningful role, just not suited for her coz she dint fit into the age frame by marrying a quite elder Rishi Kapoor, But when its Cinema.anything works!Rishi Kapoor - As Romy Rolly, a loud person who keeps blowing his own trumpets, well, may be the original directors behind the scenes do act like this. God knows but a decent enough job from him too .

Dimple Kapadia - As Neena Wallia, a selfish and mean mother or I should say, a TYPICAL bollywood kinda mother who is asking for favours for her daughter from everybody. And yeah, who doesnt like getting flattered? escpecially in two cases,

a - if you are a 50+ aged woman,

b- If the flattering is coming from a young and handsome guy like Farhan.Quite justifiable role from her too .Last but not the least,

Hrithik Roshan - As Zaffar Khan, an actor who is on the peak of his career and doesnt want any kind of competition, as well as who is insecured of them too. Quite a natural portray of Indian cinema there. Hrithik as always at his best, has done his cameo role this time very beautifully. In fact his opening scene, gives the feel of a Hollywood star descending .Phew!

Other stars with their small little clips.Like Shah Rukh Khan, whose little advice brings this kind of a "Hridaya- Parivartan" in the Hero's mind and thus SRK can be called as a story twister of this movie . While Amir, Kareena, Rani, Akshaye, John, Abhishek, Vivek, Ranbir, Dia, Manish Malhotra and Karan Johar were a treat to watch in this little jam packed emotional flick.

Songs are very good and peppy and would atleast keep the audience's busy for a few months .All in all a movie with less or no flaws.full of emotions, sentiments and dramatic sequences. A must watch to see how the Indian Cinema is changing its course, after all we would be able to say to our kids that see.this movie was among those U- Turning movies for Bollywood.back to where the sensible act starts!
