Another good movie from Farhan Akhtar's kitty. And this time with the help of his sister Zoya Akhtar. If I have to describe this movie in on line I would say very simple and to the point cinema. Yes you may ask that how can it be simple with so many stars?
But let me tall you each and every star is used properly and there is no intension of any masala. It is just that this movie is dealing with bollywood background and so you are getting chance to watch these many stars together.
Well story is simple but very interestingly told. I mean the way incidents happen in this movie is very unique and yet very practical. And this is the highlight of the movie. It has covered some new angle to see our very own bollywood. We already know these certain new things but to see it is altogether a new and worth-feeling experience.
So here is the story of the movie: A young guy comes from Delhi to become a star in hindi film industry (according to dimple kapadia, if you have already watched the movie than you will get it what I want to say). But here, he is in the waiting list.
Yes, there are so many of them. He is not alone. There are some college friends who are doing some small work in bollywood and he make some new friends. He found his love. Now that young guy gets a much needed break in one big movie and life changes.
Needless to say this young guy is Farhan and his love is Konkana. Konkana has a very good and strong role too. So this is the most simplified version of the story. But it is not just this story, it is much more than that. The way the relation changes between those friends when someone get some failure or even slightest improvement in their struggle in bollywood is the height of the movie. The way Farhan got his first break is really excellent. Hritik's character is also special one.
THE END of this movie is not conventional and you may not be happy with that (especially I was not really convinced) but if you think it is practical. And this is it. Each and every thing is practical in this film.The way the mentality of the people from Film Industry shown is something which is clearly remarkable. Some of my friends after watching this movie was saying some not so good things about bollywood.
They want to say that guys from film industry are not good people and they only believe in show-off and they only means business and nothing else, no ethics at all. To certain extent this is shown in this film in a very simple and funny way. But my point is that is it really limited to the film industry only? It is in every professional field. Everywhere mostly people will try to avoid you if you are a failure or they will come to talk to you if you get a sudden success in your life.
Their attitude will change drastically towards you. I guess the difference between success and failure is so huge in bollywood that it is the case of extreme limits. When you got a hit film (if you are not a son/daughter of some film stars) you are one of the very few persons who are god's favorite children and if not than you are one of those many persons who are wasting their life for the hope of just that one hit film.
Music is very good. Especially the first one is simply outstanding. Konkana as usual superb. Rishi Kapoor outstanding role and equally good performance. Farhan may not be like other hero or not that much attracting but you will never get bored while watching him. He will always get your attention. And this is true performance.
Whatever it is, but this is a very good movie and everyone should watch it. Very simple and to the point movie. No faltu ka masala but still not boring.Your comments are always welcome.
