Undoubtedly, Segal's best work to date (Doctors, Oliver's Story and Only Love are a few really commendable samples). Though the book is pretty short lengthwise (only some 120 plus pages), at the end of it , you are left with damp eyes and a an emotional revamp. The author or his characters i.e. Oliver and Jenny don't make any attempt to impose their idea of love on you. This is the most laudable aspect of the novel. You can feel the essence of how two far from perfect lives, can be perfected by the sheer measure of love in them.
