The movie as my title says "is different" coz it depicts the complex mentality of most of our New Gen.
They fall in love, make long term commitments and realise they arent meant for each other, and then later when they have to opt one in the crowd they compare this new identity where their old love and it creates problem for all the 3.
Though i'm not half old as Rishi Kapoor's character in the film, but I still agree with his character's viewpoint that Love in our Gen was still better. We used to have a crush one a few, not a new one every couple of months... Our commitments were based on what we would be when we achieve someone in life AND vice versa, i.e. we would strive to be what we promised to our loved ones.
The GenX wants everything and Anything, but instantly. Be it love, job, money, fame etc etc With shows like Rakhi ka Cucumber (pun intended), Roadies etc, they think that life is as easy as a dream. I mean i'm not against these soaps or the channels dat promote them, I also don't deny that there are great options today with these shows pouring in oppurtunties for the young.
So coming on track... overall the movie is Ok. Specially when u have people of the same age in your aquaintaince, who love and leave just like they discard their old jeans :) LOLZ
I would rate the movie as 3 on 5. Would've given 2 but I liked the songs very much... Twist and the last one @ casting rolls.
Deepika seemed better than before this time. Saif was average.
Also, I specially liked the Punjabi gurl "Harleen"... She was charming. Can anyone find me her name?
One time watch. If seen seriously, is a lesson to every youngster who kinds of thinks they don't know who they want as their life partner.
