The best thing about Louis Philippe is the ''Upper Crest'', the crown that marks it from anything else. I don't think anyone would differ with me on that. I know people who buy it just for the crown.
The price range is premium and shirts starts at above Rs. 800. Shirt sizes start from 39. You get shirts in plains with a very huge collection of whites, subdued checks and stripes. There is a choice of cotton fabrics. In summer season one can go for the Combed Cotton shirts which are very comfortable. I pack them whenever I go to Kerala. The thicker cotton shirts are suitable for winter wear (or for very heavy airconditioning).
The trouser collection is also good. The casual range under the Spiritus sub brand is also great. However, for suits I would prefer Raymonds or Reid and Taylor.
The ''Perma Press'' collection is really worth. I like the ''Farm Fresh'' collection a lot. The colours of the new Monet (pronounced Monay) collection are very bright and dominating.
This brand is from Madura Coats, the people who also bring to you Van Heusen, San Frisco and Peter England.
