I happened to visit the Lotus Temple when I went to Delhi as part of a camp. It is a beautiful structure blooming in white stone like a lotus flower. That was the first time I knew that there is a religion called Bahai in the world, and the Lotus Temple is the prayer center of those believers.
This Lotus Temple in Kalkaji Mandir is one of the most amazing sights in the world. 27 Petaled, Lotus flower. When I went there was a lot of tourists. Went in from Q for a while. When I got inside, I was quite surprised. Inside is full of prayerful silence. A silence that can be recognized even by the falling of a needle. Just sit in this prayer temple for a while to know what silence is.
A place where any religious can come and spend time. There are daily 15 minute prayer sessions at fixed intervals. A visit here will be a totally different experience for everyone.
