I have recently Bought a box of lotte choco pie, and was very shocked to see fungus patches in the pie. I have thrown out the first pie, thinking it might be due to mistake, but much to my surprise I have found a larger patch of fungus in my second pie. Me and my friends usually eat it as a substitute for breakfast, while rushing to our offices. We could have easily consumed those fungus infected pies and wouldnt even have noticed it. I checked the expiry date, just to see if I picked out the wrong box. The date of manufacture says 2/17 and I dont know that the fresh date stock caught fungus.
