Story:

From young age I am an avid and voracious reader. I used to think that I can read any kind of books, but all that changed :(

Repulsion, revulsion, disgust, horror these were the feelings, which I felt when I read this book. And guess what! I threw the book away.

I did'nt touch another book for a week at least (honest!). This book is definitely not for young nor for people who have good faith in world.

Ah! But I have to make an excuse for this book---->I read this book when I was 15yrs old. My mind at that time couldn’t envisage that such things existed.

Now I am older and still can't forget the horror feelings, which I experienced then. It is a story of a group of boys who get stranded in an island. There they turn into savages...This book depicts how a normal can turn to abnormal without proper rules (But what is abnormal? maybe this is normality which we do not want to face).

The story :

Twenty-four young boys not more than 12 year olds are stranded on a remote island after their plane crashes. Ralph is chosen to be the leader of the group. Jack questions Ralph’s leadership and he establishes a rival team. Piggy(symbolism of innocent) is a young boy who sides Ralph. They try to set up a society!!!.The story continues to describe how they turn into savages finally ending up killing each other.

This is a masterpiece of Golding...no doubt about it (William Golding's Nobel Prize-winning novel). But I hate it, that too is a fact! It is about the dark side of human nature. It can also be said as a testament of human nature namely SIN. Well anyway, I will always side that there is still goodness in this world, no matter what, and all is not lost. My advice is please do not allow young people to read it. And if you are an optimist please a definite NO. And still if you are curious then it is your Funeral (lol)
