Hi Friends,

Today I will review about my current network service provider “BPL Mobile” which is now recently known as “Loop Mobile”.BPL Mobile is one of the oldest network service providers in the mobile industry. I had availed it’s service some ten years back. At that time there were not many network providers available and as many of my business associates and friends had taken “BPL Mobile network, I too took the decision to take it and that was the biggest mistake of my life. In the beginning, the network signals were catching nicely but with passage of time thereafter till now it’s network signals have deteriorated like anything.

The network signals as per my knowledge are generally dependant on the transmission towers erected by the service provider company in different parts of a city or village which helps in all-round good network coverage but in the case of this company the transmission towers in many areas are still missing in spite of it’s huge subscriber base.. This company it seems to appear that has now stopped erecting new transmission towers where they are required and is keeping away from upgrading their technology due to the huge costs involved in it and hence their subscriber base has now begun to diminish sharply. Once they enjoyed the top slot regarding it but have now fallen down mainly due to their pathetic service and also due to the severe competition from the new players.

The network signals are so frail that I can not receive the calls in my office area at all. Not even a single bar of the network signal is visible on my cell phone so I have to just keep it off when I am at my office. At my residence too, whenever a call comes, I have to run towards an open particular area in my gallery section and then only can receive it and speak with the caller. In that circumstances too while the conversation is on, in the middle of it sometimes the signal bars behave like disco lights of a disco club and I have to dance accordingly here and there for continuing the conversion, but still in that case too sometimes the call is disconnected abruptly due to the undisciplined behaviour of the network signal bars. Regarding usage of their network service while roaming or travelling in trains, the less said the better.

I can not change this service provider because I can’t afford changing my number as it is with so many people with whom I am associated with for so many years and therefore there was no other option left out for me rather than continuing with it. I had in the past complained so many times to the company regarding it, but their reply was as pathetic as their network, but now there is a ray of hope for people like me as “TRAI” (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has already issued a notification in which a scheme will come in to effect where by paying a sum of less than Rs-300/= a subscriber will be able to change their network service provider without any hassles and the remaining talk time of the old one will be transferred to the new one which you have selected. This scheme will come in to effect approximately around 20th September, 2009. Great news, isn’t it? I hope that this decision of TRAI will definitely benefit the subscriber as now the different service providers will be compelled to improve their network and signal frequencies if they want to maintain and add to their subscriber base. We will be free to choose our network service provider at our own will.

I fail to understand the recent advertisements and publicity done by the BPL Company regarding the change of name of theirs to “Loop mobile” with some falsifying claims. The new name shouldn’t be “Loop Mobile”; it should be “Stoop Mobile” or “Droop Mobile”. I will definitely avail the scheme being introduced by TRAI when it commences and get rid of this operator as soon as possible. I have only one thing to say to “BPL Mobile” or “Loop Mobile” whatever that you suck big time.
