When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream. When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality - Dom Helder Camara

Great realities are born out of dreaming together, believing yourself and trusting others. No single dream seen alone in moonlight saw the dawn unless it had the strength of many to batter the darkness. And more so when it comes to music. For music is all encompassing, it is the oneness of many. And yet if someone feels that he alone is good enough to hold it captive, he is for a rude shock.

London dreams exemplify it rather coarsely. Story is nothing sort of a challenge. Arjun nurtures the dream of performing at Wembley’s where his grandfather Succumbed. He leaves nothing undone to achieve it. He forms a small band in London and gears up for the big show. While he is busy chasing his dreams his friend Manjit, back home in Punjab though musically gifted is content with singing in a wedding band.

A wedding invitation brings back Arjun to Manjit where he discovers his singing prowess and takes him to London to be a part of his Dream. Little did he know that his moment of glory which until now seemed just a flash away had started drifting farther Right from their first performance together Arjun realizes that Manjit clearly is more evolved Musician who almost eclipsed him. Jealousy is an invincible human emotion, even the most detached and self assured mortals could not conquer it. High on the obsession of the dream Arjun could not take this in his stride and what follows next is a predictable affair.

The film does try to make the point but unlike Abhimaan it lacked gravity and subtleness. Moreover the movie is laden with some unforgivable flaws. Coming to cast, Ajay Devgan’s Age and restrained style is a misfit for a rock star. His body language too doesn’t reflect the frivolousness of a rock star. Perhaps some whacky styling could have lent credence to his character. However, Salman is one such guy whose charisma takes on before everything. Despite his age he looked just too perfect for a gullible & anything for a friend villager turned Rockstar. His loud and garish ways, peppy one liner kicked in some humor.

The most disappointing part was the Wembley Fiasco. Shorn of any dignity, it was a blatant and lousy way of manifesting jealousy. Imagine a lead vocalist performing in front of 90, 000 odd can’t help bickering about his fellow band member. Would he ever get a chance to step on any stage leave alone wembley. That was a complete disaster. Dialogues were again a let down, dialogues oscillated form being stale to repetitive to boring, at least not in sync with the mood of the movie. I exceptionally liked the lyrics, Heartfelt and uplifting and that is Prasoon Joshi(he needs another revu space). Salman khan singing Hanuman challisa was a wonderful gesture and takes way the song to its Zenith.

Finally the movie does convey the message that passion fires dream but when a dream is blinded by a conceited obsession and exclude the other who nurture it falls on its own weight.

Watch it for some great music and Salman Khan.
