I have been a fan of ajay ever since he started doing serious role post zakhm. the angry frustrated roles do fit him well . as for salman, he is best when you give him a light role with lot of charisma around it. The movie by Vipul shah does exactly that.
The roles are tailor-made for both the actors. The storyline is pretty simple. Hard work and dedication versus natural talent. You just cant take way a gods gift from someone. The story starts from Arjun (Ajay) about to perform at Wembley stadium and how he recollects his journey from Bhatinda to London. His thinking is just like any common man and he remembers all the good and the bad he had to do to reach there. Music is his passion and he can go to any heights to fulfill his desire to be the best.
Mannu is his childhood friend(Salman) who just cares a damn about the world and lives in his own happy world. He is part of RAJA RANI marriage band in bhatinda. He himself does not know how talented he is. Arjun takes him to london where his true talent is revealed and he becomes more popular.What follows is jealousy, hatred and deception. How arjun tries to get him out of his way but resorting to evil and sin.Asin provides the eyecandy but does not have much to do.The movie does grip you and both the lead roles have given a fantastic performance. Salman brings in the comic element as well.
This should rate as one of his best performance still date.Ajay is both the positive and negative element in the movie and gives another rocking performance. The only let down is the music, as rarely have shankar-ehsaan- loy let us down so badly in the past.
