India the super power of tomorrow, sounds good and Indians feel proud to hear this. But does India will b able to get this title? Is only military power makes a country super power?
I think with only military power we cant call a country a super power it has to have a strong economy and well developed citizens and I am afraid India lacks these, This is because of the shortage uncorrupted politicians and bureaucrat's who play the major role in the nation building.
After independence many political parties came into power around all of them promised to do this and that, but the results were not even 25% of what they promised. This may be because of uneducated or undereducated politicians and bureaucrat. The political, leaders who have the control of the country are always busy either in saving government or solving religious and political problems. Around 50%of our politicians are having criminal background and now busy making bank balance.
One of the main drawbacks of India is corruption. In the Global Corruption Index, a survey of 133 nations conducted by Transparency International (an anti-graft watchdog) October 07, 2003, India stood 83rd in the world, alongside Malawi and Romania. India recorded a score of 2.8 out of 10. Last year, India's score was 2.7 out of 10, but it stood 71st in a list of 102 nations, unlike 133 this time.
We cannot blame only the politicians every citizen too are responsible. Each of us has to think not only about ourselves but also about the nation. Every people should try to be a responsible citizen by paying regular tax and following the rules, getting maximum education and stopping religious fights as this will bring nothing other than than blood and tears. If we overcome these weaknesses this will be a great contribution for the development of the country.
India has to strength its industries and modernizing the agricultural techniques. Government has to provide full support to small industries and for starting new business.
I think India has the potential too become a super power but there weak and infected areas which have to be cured, if not ''THE DREAM WILL BE A DREAM FOR EVER''''......
