Do you feel the country is safe in their hands?

Catch iton the conversation between 2 long lost, recently phone no. found friends. Or between two strangers in the local train. Miss it there, head straight to the nearest office during lunch break. Couldn’t make it in time, don’t worry. Probably you’ll hear it on your way back home. No! Come straight home. Haven’t your neighbour started discussing it yet? Reach out for the nearest newspaper, screaming about it in the headlines. Not got a copy in hand, tune in to the several t.v channels holding numerous discussions on it.

The talk of the country, the issue which rocked Sensitive Sensex…The current political scenario ! Has got everything to glue down people to their seats. Action, drama, emotion, comedy all in one !!!

Much has been said and written about it in the recent times by fellow Msians. Lesser known facts, long forgotten historical events, serious allegations have been brought forward by friends here, who are all much more bold and far more daring than me…

Now, if you can all of a sudden, visualize a meek and tiny creature, with a frightened look on its face, pls brush it aside. THATZ NOT ME !!!

Then, why the hell are you here? Reading this?

Here’s the answer…how would you like it if you get to hear about all this through the pen of a civics illiterate person like me, whose interest in politics is no more than Sushmaji’s concern about Soniaji’s pet dog’s security (if she has one!)

I’ve been enlightened by my near and dear ones that now is the right time to exhibit my patriotism towards my motherland and hence, talk politics!!!

And this is how I see it all…

Once upon a time, there lived a King Bihari, who reigned over the kingdom of Hindustan. Though he was an old man, he was a powerful orator who would burst out into poetry here and then, and lighten the sorrow and brighten the faces of his subjects. He was a just ruler, who believed in peaceful living.

The King was always surrounded by his group of ministers, who thought otherwise, and always created problems for the king. The people of the land were simpletons like me, who always needed some one to lead them.

One day, a messenger arrived from the Queen of Italy and then, all of a sudden there was a war. The Queen wanted to invade the kingdom. She had powerful people around her, her group of ministers and also her two children, Prince Charming and Princess Beautiful by her.

The King became a worried man. He knew that he did not have enough resources to defend himself and also, his people were tilting towards the Queen, who was fair skinned!

Certain that he would lose the war, the King desired to meet the Queen at once and question her intentions and interest in his peaceful and prosporous kingdom.

When he met the Queen, he was in for a surprise. The Queen happened to be a very pleasant person. She had her tale of woe to narrate…

Long long ago, this kingdom belonged to a Royal family. She married the crown prince of the family and had hoped to become the Queen. But fate desired otherwise, and the royal family had to leave its kingdom and go away. She had moved to Italy and gradually, become the Queen there. Now, after so many years, her group of ministers reminded her that the Kingdom of Hindustan had actually belonged to her family and hence, she should return back to it and continue with the Royal dynasty there.

So, she was here, at the behest of her ministers, fighting for her long lost land!

On hearing all this, the King felt sad for the Queen and left, saying that he would go the forests and meditate there for the next 5 years and pray for world peace.

The next day, the news spread like fire. The King had left his kingdom and the Queen would hereafter rule the land. People all got excited, decorated their houses, washed their horses and waited patiently for the Queen to come.

And finally, the Queen came. Just when she was about to crowned the Queen of Hindustan, she stopped in her tracks and said, “ Dear people, Thank you for all your support, but I don’t wish to be the Queen here. Instead of me…”

The people dint even wait for her to finish. They all stood up and shouted. Some body threatened to commit suicide. Some cried, some walked up to her to convince her.

After hearing everyone, the Queen stood up and said, “……….”

Why did the Queen refuse the kingdom? Who would take her place? Would the Queen follow the king’s footsteps and go to the forests???

What happens next???????
