I have been travelling by local trains since quite a few years now since I stay in the Suburban area. I have travelled in the 1st class as well as the 2nd class but there is hardly any difference in the crowd.
I think the only difference is the kind of people travelling in either of the compartments. In the 1st class there are these so called sophisticated people travelling but when it comes to getting a place to sit all behave like junglees just like the 2nd class people. They'll give gaalis in English and the 2nd class ones will give in Hindi or Marathi.
The Local trains are the best as one says for its the fastest mode of transport but are we given any choice rather than the local trains? Its not only the trains but the roads are also to be developed and what about the population and pollution. There's hardly anything that can be done about these aspects.
But I would say Yes the Local trains that's Virar fast to Churchgate and back is the BEST!!
