I landed in USA around a week ago on official work.Going to be here for some pretty time. I landed in Newark airport. The journey was over 18 hours long. I was carrying around 60 Kg of luggage. I have noticed a few things about USA( New Jersey to be more specific)
Plus:
1) Has a large cover of green area which is very soothing to the eyes
2) Traffic is not a major problem. Besides people follow rules very well
3) Washing clothes is pretty simple. Every building has it's own washing machine and dryer. For under $3 one can get washing and drying done.
4) Almost every apartment has a microwave which is very essential considering the American lifestyle
5) Cooking can be done either through gas or electric heater. Gas is almost extinct and can be found in few parts of New Jersey. No need to run around for cooking gas since gas comes through pipes
6) Every tap has a provision for hot and cold water
7) Gettting Indian food is not a problem if one doesn't mind paying a little extra. I always thought frozen foods were no good. But I must say it is pretty good
8) Broadband internet is very fast and cheap also. Streaming video can be played without any hitches
Minuses
1) Public transportation is hardly present. Having a car is a must.
2) Places are too far apart unlike in India which is a disadvantage at times
3) To save money one needs to cook which I don't like. Time might change my opinion however
4) Apartments in New jersey are quite expensive at $900-1000 for a single bedroom apartment.
