GAURAV BANGIA- Does the name ring any bells?
A versatile talent from Delhi that appeared in SA RE GA MA .The show being one of the most watched musical show, wherein young talented singers were trying to make their presence felt in the world of music in 2003. Infact, the only singer to have made a consecutive 10 series episode winner. The achievement has been recorded in the LIMCA BOOKS OF RECORD 2003.
When I heard him for the first time, I was so spellbound that never wanted to miss a single episode ever. He has of late recorded a number of version songs and remixes for music companies like Sony and Times. Being very versatile, he also has a flair for Indian classical to pop, from vintage to contemporary, folk to western. He excels in anchoring shows too.
GAURAV has taking his training in Hindustani classical music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi. Also obtained training in light music from eminent vocalist late Pt. Inder Narain Sharma. And continues journey of learning Hindustani classical from consummate violinist, music composer and vocalist Shri Mohinderjit Singh and training in voice culture from accomplished classical vocalist Shri Ananth Vaidyanathan.
On the advertising front also has a major achievement up his sleeve, like TV commercial for VIDEOCON, NOKIA 8800, Godrej Sofit to his credit.
To day the trend and stage for music is much wider than it was at any other time. Many want to become singers but guess lucky are a few who get name, fame and the works. But there are dedicated singers like GAURAV, in the young generation that are truly dedicated to music. And I take pride in writing through this channel that such dedicated singers too need a mention.
