LI has been in Hyd for about 3-4 years now if I am not mistaken. The first time I went there, I was in for a surprise, which - its a completely GREEN hotel, that means no meat of any sort. I must agree I was grumbling at that point of time, only to have a smile when I was stepping out of the hotel.
Its a learning experience for those who don't know what actual Italian food tastes like. Give Dominoes and Pizza hut a pass - thats American Italian. The true Italian menu will never make you sweat or gulp litres of water because of the heat of the food. A hyderabadi could rate the food as moderately bland to very less spicy ( as compared to the birayani )
Understanding the menu and the the contents ( includes spelling it right ) takes some time. The garlic bread and the soups are so full of pabulum, its just difficult not to like it. Most of the breads and stuff related to italian breads are made right in front of us. The pasta/pizza/lasagna are so damn tasty, its just hard to end your meal, unfortunately you have to because your belly can only accommodate so much. But its a heads up for people, who don't like Parmesan cheese or its derivates - please ensure that you know what you are ordering, if you don't and you end up getting Parmesan cheese in your dish, you may actually spoil the rest of the evening. They also have a good choice in the mocktails. Take any thing with cranberry and grenadine in it, and it will go well with the pasta/lasagna or atleast I like it that way. Every time I have been there, I have had so much food to eat, there hasnt been a time where I tasted the desserts, for which I will have to specifically go once.
So long.
PS: ambiance is amazing. Sit on the deck outside during the night and u will enjoy your meal.
