Well, if you read my review for Fair and Lovely cream, you would know I received 3 bars of Liril soap as part of a care package from my mother-in-law. I did find it strange to get such things as a gift, but I think he reasoning was to show me beauty products from India that she herself uses. I saw a Liril soap commercial when I was in India, but never thought about it after leaving. My mother-in-law said I look like some ''gori'' girl in one of those ads. I'll have to take her word for it.
I opened the package and put it in the shower. I had not used it yet and already my bathroom was filled with the clean, citrus scent. I used the soap the next morning before going to work. The scent alone made me feel energised. It lathered well on my shower puff, and it rinsed off of my body without leaving a residue. My husband and I are fond of Zest antibacterial soap because of its clean scent and it makes our skin soft, but Liril left my skin very soft as well and the scent stayed on my skin. I liked that very much. Liril is not as moisturising as Dove, which I like to use in the winter when my skin tends to get dry, but I think this should not be a problem since I always use body lotions after my shower anyway. All in all, I wish this soap was available in a regular drug store in USA instead of just Indian stores. If anyone knows where I can order from in USA to try the Liril Cool Mint soap, please let me know. I would also like to try that scent.
