I am a LinkedIn member since July 9, 2010. At the very beginning, I did not know its power like how useful linkedin.com will be. I have just started making professional connections in my field. Then I realized its very helpful to get connected with the professional in a particular field from worldwide. These connections are helpful in one or the other way to build your career. The website's goal is to build the network of professionals in the different field and keep them connected that is what the of the website is. So far the website was useful for me to search for jobs, To find research labs and to find future conferences in a particular field. The site is so fast and it doesn't take much time to load whenever I open it even in a weak network connection. Now linked in is the fastest growing network of professionals worldwide. Almost 70% of my LI connections I never met face to face but they are very much connected through LinkedIn for a professional network.
I would personally recommend you must have an account or profile created on LinkedIn to meet new professional people worldwide, to grow your business worldwide. Most importantly, it helps to find a new job far better than your previous job.
