Update: On Monday September 27, 10 the CEO Mr. Turakhia called me up in response to this review which was mailed to him too. He acknowledged that he was working on the issues of pick up in Pune and that the service levels are being looked into. He has offered to extend my membership so that I am able to see the changes and continue to leverage the library for my children. Keep watching this space for more....I will change the recommendation only after I experience the change.

The lure of anything online grabs the attention of cyber worshipers like me and thats how I fell into the trap of Librarywala.

I needed to arrange a hassle free library experience for my family in Pune and I was given a thumbs review by a friend whose organization had a corporate sign up with them in Mumbai. I reviewed the plans and called the head / owner Mr. Turakhia and quizzed him on all possible scenarios to ensure I got VFM. O hearing where I worked, Mr. Turakhia promised a load of support and other freebies (I am yet to see them) and in turn indicated how he was finding it difficult to showcase his services in my company. I should have picked up that hint, but foolish me ignore it :(

I signed up for 6 months plan and the biggest hassle is that their pick up and delivery system is managed by 2 different channels (funny!). They deliver books but don't pick up the books which were indicated for pick up. Their line is, the other team will pick it up. Currently I have 6 books at my place and waiting for them to clear my bookspace! Once they gave an excuse that there was a tiff with management and hence this problem exists. Honesty is the best policy, so what if it is tarnishing their reputation!!

Try sending a mail to their common id and you will not get a response for months! I sent a mail in July and I have not got a response so far. THeir Pune number does not ring loud enough for the person to answer the call and when I dial their Bangalore number and threaten the service agent with consumer forum litigation, she will call back in an hour and say we have no information.

I am waiting for November when my subscription expires. I gave them all these days to help them clean up their act. Pity they have other pressing things to do. My 2000 odd bucks have gone done the tubes and left me raging and hopefully wiser.

But you folks can learn from my experience and save your bucks! And now to fetch that friend and his organization for landing me in this mess. Grrrr!
