On 11.03.2010 vide Cash Memo No 18055, I had purchased one pair of HotShot shoes HST-905, Size 9 after paying Rs 499.00 to Star Traders, Liberty Exclusive Showroom, 157/1, VIP Road, Kolkata - 700054..While I bought the shoes I had asked what was the guarantee of workmanship.The sales man informed me that it was guaranteed for three months and also said that the only defect which occurred in the shoes was that the Inner Sole became loose.
How right he was?Within half hour of wearing the shoes, the inner sole wrapped up and folded even as I wore the shoes.As I was on the way to Sikkim for one week I could not take it to the shop. Instead, I bought one tube of dendrite and stuck the insole to the shoes.In the one week I was in Sikkim, I had to repeat the operation about three times.I returned on the 21st and took them to the shop on the 23rd. The salesman told me to come back on the 29th when the shoes would be ready.I went to collect the shoes on the 30th but found that the shoes were lying as I had left them.The salesman told me to come back again after a few days.
When I asked him to give me a date, he refused to give me a date.I then had to telephone Call Centre no 09910939076 of the manufacturers and asked the person to talk to the salesman.After a person spoke to him, he told me to come back on the 4th April when the shoes would be ready or they would give me a new pair of shoes.The 4th being a Sunday, I went on the 5th to the shop after confirming.The old pair had not been repaired.However they gave me a new pair.But the new pair had the same defect as the old one, i.e, the insole was loose.When I pointed this out to the salesman, he answered that all the shoes had this problem and if I wanted it corrected , I should go to a cobbler and get it fixed.Now, here I was buying a new pair of shoes and the salesman was asking me to go to a cobbler.Are these the products and service Liberty Shoes are giving to your customers?
It seems Liberty Shoes cannot supply acceptable products and I have therefore requested them to take back the new pair of shoes and refund my money as their products are faulty and cannot be repaired by their people.
