I don't want to give away my age, but I have been wearing Levis for a long, long time, since the days when they were inexpensive and only came in one or two cuts, and never pre-shrunk or pre-faded. We used to turn them inside out and wash them once or twice before wearing them. Some people even rolled them in dry dirt before throwing them in the washing machine! Levi's are, for me, the most comfortable and nice-fitting blue jeans on the market (I have tried others). An old pair, that somehow still fit me, just ripped beyond repair about a month ago, and I now have a new pair of shorts! That pair of jeans was over ten years old, well-faded and fit like a second skin.
Levi's, like any jeans, are not for wearing just anywhere, and are not too comfortable in hot climates (they're okay at night) but, for me, they are an essential part of my wardrobe and as long as I am wearing jeans I will only wear Levi's.
