In new age of internet shopping, it was nice to see letsbuydrinks.com providing wide range of Wine, Scotch, Beer and many other drinks of international brands delivered at your doorsteps.I decided to order a bottle of French Wine for celebrating Diwali to test their service. Online shopping was not new to me as I have filled my wardrobe and electronics through Online shopping and have had great shopping experience.
To begin with they had a impressive range of international liquor list, even though it mentions current services are in Mumbai and Gurgaon, but the drop down of cities include Delhi, Faridabad and as per the article in TOI/HT they deliver in most parts of Delhi.
The registration process also includes uploading your age proof document, all done when I ordered for my bottle of 'Poggio Alla Badiola IGT Toscana'. The ordering process was smooth and finding Cash on Delivery was also thumps up, the order number was generated a confirmation email was sent by LBD.com but no SMS confirmation which I think is a standard process in most internet shopping sites.
I was waiting for my Wine to be delivered for 2 days and still no status when I logged in its said 'Preparation in progress' and on day 4 it was cancelled by LBD.com with no note/reason for the cancellation neither there was a apology email which I expected, It was a standard 'your ordered is cancelled'.
I did not have a very bad experience neither was there any harassment but I don't think I will ever avail their service or recommend them. If the reason for not deliver was due to area limitation the order must have never been taken and if there was any other reason they should have mentioned it, thumbs down LBD.com!!
