I made an order on https://Letsbuy.com with order no. LSB-788840 on 15-Jan-2012 for a Mop for Rs 1, 099. I made the payment from my CitiBank online account. This was the biggest mistake I have ever made by using my debit card on an unverified and new online site.


My ordeal began when my order was shown as cancelled on the Letsbuy website even after making the payment. I immediately checked my CitiBank account and it showed that the amount was deducted in the name of EBILLING SOLUTIONS with reference no. 201516576659. I immediately mailed them on 16-Jan-2012 giving them all the details. Since I recieved no response from them, I again mailed them on 18-Jan-2012.


Now on 19-Jan-2012, Amit Kumar from Letsbuy mailed me back, saying that they have not received the payment! Just imagine my horror when in the mail they asked me to send them my credit card statements! and it gets worse, In the same mail they say that IF you have paid then it will take full 21 DAYS to get your own money back! They don't even have the basic payment systems in place to track payments and they are running an online retail site! Truly anything is possible in this season of SCAMS!


When I called their customtakeouter care no.0124-4901234, I was put on hold for full 3 minutes, and after chatting with a useless Letsbuy telecaller who had no information and no clue whatsover, I demanded that I want to talk to their senior. Taken aback she agreed and after putting me on hold for another 4 minutes, instead of the senior she herself told me that her senior is saying that it will take around 21 DAYS to get my own money back! In the end, I figured it out that if I continue chatting everyday with the useless Letsbuy telecallers on phone, then I will probably spend another Rs 1, 000 on the phone bills itself! :)


Finally dejected, I mailed my CitiBank, explaining them everything. They sent me a detailed reply explaining how the payment was indeed made on the same day and that the service provider is absolutely wrong in claiming the payment was not made. I have forwarded that mail too to the Letsbuy customtakeouter care which exists only in name.


Let’s see and hope that better sense prevails. This time I am fully determined to pursue this matter to its Logical conclusion, even if it means going to the consumer court.


Some common sense advice from this aggrieved customtakeouter. Don't pay in ADVANCE ever on this website! In future only pay through Cash On Delivery! It is much safer. Atleast your money will be Safe! Don’t ever trust the spoken or written word of their customtakeouter care executives. They don’t even know what they are talking about, leave alone anything about honoring their commitments!


But in the end, It’s your Money and it’s your Choice!

Latest Update! Heights of Inaction, Shamelessness, and Apathy!


This is just to inform everyone on MouthShut_Official that even after full 20 Days of the said transaction, the Letsbuy people have not called me even once and have just sent a robotic copy paste mail saying that I will receive my money within 21 Days. They have not even returned a penny of my money till now. Heights of Corporate Shamelessness and Apathy! They should be ashamed of their pathetic so called customtakeouter Care!

Last Update on February 20, 2012. Got my Money Back! Hip Hip Hurray! :-)


Finally my bank CitiBank bowed down after at least 3 mails from my side. They resolved the entire problem from their end and finally reversed the transaction after consulting with the merchant( http://www.LetsBuy.com) and I finally got my money back. The best part, the Day I got my money back into my account, these stupid LetsBuy customtakeouter care people mailed me that I will get my money back in 5-7 working days. :-)


These LetsBuy customtakeouter care people are really stupid and they don't know a thing about their own customtakeouters, the status of orders, and any payment track records. Finally I got my own money back after more than 30 days of Head Banging. Will not ever pay online on https://LetsBuy.com. First and last lesson learned from all this drama, Even if for some strange reason you want to buy something from https://LetsBuy.com, then only use "CASH ON DELIVERY". The worst thing that can and does happen in many cases is that you will receive your product, but at least your MONEY will be SAFE!
