Online portals are the way to shop these days as the discounts they offer are probably unmatched as compared to a dealer.


Having said that I took the risk and ordered a Laptop from Letsbuy.com (after comparing the price from Flipkart). I had been recommended earlier to stay away from letsbuy.com. I took a chance, just wanted to see if I have some luck and ordered a samsung RV518 laptop costing Rs 29XXX.  I had to pay 10% (Rs 3000 appx)  of the amount online and the rest had to be paid to the Delivery folks who would hand over the product.


To my surprise the parcel came home in 4 days. really cool. Although what happened next killed it all. I only had to pay Rs 26, 500 to the courier person, but his records said I had to pay 29, XXX. I immediately called Letsbuy and told them about the problem. They took it lightly and said, "simply reject the parcel we will correct the amount and redeliver."


There goes the surprise.


The parcel again came back home the next day and I was again asked to pay in full. I called Customer services again and they said they will sort this out. Guaranteed, they assured the courier was informed and this issue was sorted. After 2 days, I keep getting a message from the courier saying I rejected the parcel. they sms'ed me a number. On calling the courier people, checking with my order, they said that Letsbuy.com had not contacted them. Yes they had no records of any communication of the problem.


Above all of this, I get an email from letsbuy that I was not available to pick up my courier and that the item was sent back.


It just goes to show that "Letsbuy" has good deals, but really isn't close to being a good online retailer. I have made over 15 phone calls to letsbuy since, and all I hear is apologies from their staff. My Item is still somewhere in some warehouse and god alone knows what they are doing at their end.


I personally Do Not recommend them, I had placed a genuine order and this is not a review from a competition, (Please find a screenshot of the receipt and payment details)
