One day I placed an order at Letsbuy.com online shopping site. Placed order for two items, a sandwitch maker(Oster) and an induction cook top(Glen). Payment was done instantly for the value. Even after half a month over the order is not completely fulfilled. One item, the sandwith maker was delivered but the cooktop not delivered. There is no tol free customer care no. One national no is there for which one has to make an STD call when dialing from any other part, other than their office. The call is accepted and starts immediately, but only to hear some fancy music tones for more than 2 mins, before someone can attend. The executives who attend the calls have very least info and would always ask you to wait for 2 mins before they can get your order details and status. The answers you get from them is always vague and not clear and definitive. Following are few lines what I had got the response when I had called. Its like same routine answer "that your order is in process and pl wait. " "We are working on it. Your case has been escalated." "Your product has been lined up for shipping. " " It will be delivered in 24-48 hrs."
All kinds of this but not sure what really goes on at their back office. I have had made several calls so far. Every day I got similar assurances that it will be processed in next 24-48 hrs. If you would like to escalate, there is no other contact no or contacts of any other people of the company mentioned in their website or any other details you can get from the customer care centre. Its like you are left only on their mercy.
I am sure many others must have gone through similar experiences at this shopping site Letsbuy.com. Had I been aware about such service provided by them I am sure I would not have made any purchase there. Take caution and check things out before you decide to shop at such online sites who donot give toll free customer care no, donot display management or sr people’s contact to escalate, donot update in case of delay, donot provide prompt refund in case order is not fulfilled, ambiguos statements like delivered in 4-6 days( not defined clearly whether after shipping or payment confirmed or days start counting moment you place the order) etc.
It would be appropriate to say Lets not buy.com .
