When I was looking for a new laptop, the Lenovo Yoga 500 was the best thing to grab my attention. It has a 10 point multi-touch screen, the screen flips 360 degrees so that it can be sued as a tablet as well. The four stand modes are convenient and great to use. Do not worry about the hinges, they have excellent build quality! Comes loaded with Windows 8.1(upgradable to Win 10). The in built apps are really good, specially the Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings ones. The touchscreen is great to use and offers excellent usability.
The specs on this machine are great too! 5th gen i5 Broadwell processor, 4gb RAM, 500gb SHDD, always-on USB port, HDMI port, 14 inch beautiful screen, 2gb Nvidia graphic card. Does not have a disk/optical drive but that should not be a deal breaker. I have been using this since 4 months and absolutely love it.
