I have been using Lenovo Vibe p1m from more than a month. and have some good and bad experience.
Design and Build Quality
Design wise its pretty simple and ok design. Construction is nice and well made but lack in scratch resistant glass on front. which is disappointing. On the side you get metallic finish. on rear Camera ring feels cheaply made, looks unfinished.
Display
5inch 720p display seems decent in quality both with colors and resolution but sunlight legibility could have been better.
Call quality and Sound
Call Quality is very good on both end, no issues. however speaker phone quality is great but loudness is average at best.
Cameras
Since I am a photographer and I would say if camera is your priority then just ignore it. camera is strictly below average both front and rear camera.
Battery Life
Battery Life which makes this phone standout. and perform pretty decently too. Mediatek SoC is not best battery saver compare to snapdragon. battery life last about 5 days if you have pretty light usage or having too many cellular calls. But using internet or media it will shorten. so overall great battery life.
Performance
Powered by Mediatek 6735p which is 1ghz Quad core. Slightly slower than Origing 6735 and has Mali T720 GPU which is good. All though I am not very impressed with the performance. Redmi phone performs much much better. Whole system feel little slow to react compare to competition. overall decent for normal user but not recommended to young generation. Old people will be happy.
For Gaming its just OK. Not for high end gaming.
Conclusion
Lenovo Vibe P1m Has great battery life, decent performance and good display. but lacks a bit in performance and in all over software experience I am hoping lenovo would fix it with OTA update soon. they could have use 1.3ghz processor instead of 1ghz. it could have improved performance. and phone also lack in sensors department as it just have basic sensor while competition is offering too many sensor for gaming and other stuffs. and lack in Camera Department too.
I would not recommend this phone to Young generation they can go for more stylish and better performing phone like Meizu M2 or Redmi 3. which has much better responsive UI and Performance and Much better Camera.
Old age people would love this phone.
