Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is a budget offering by Lenovo. It is priced in under 10k budget. Let's get straight to the review.
Design: The device has plastic build for most of parts. Looks are average and boring. Front has usual placements of all things. Right side has the volume rocker and power button and top consist of 3.5mm jack and microUSB port. Camera unit is placed at top of the rear of phone. The speakers are placed at rear bottom of smartphone. The build quality is also just average. Looks wise it also shows its budget range.
Display: It comes with a 5inch Full HD display. Display is quite good and rich. The display is sharp and have good contrast level. The display is above average. Contrast levels are also good. Viewing angles are just strictly average. But it is little reflective and affects user experience. In outdoor conditions the display is just average.
Camera: It comes with a13MP rear and 5MP front set of cameras. Both cameras works below average. The quality of shots are bad. On paper the cameras specs looks impressive but when it comes to day to day usage the camera is bad in front of the competition. Camera UI is also simple and easy to use. Camera is very capable but not perform well, so a software update might give it the required boost to performance of the cameras.
Software: The Lenovo Vibe UI is very heavy UI. It often lacks. It comes with so many bloatware. It is not a polished UI. The software experience is very bad. Like many chinese manufacturers the device also don't come with a app drawer in UI and all the apps are placed at different screen of home screen. UI also looks quite dated. The end user experience is not very pleasing and comes out dulls and sluggish.
Hardware: It comes with Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. Hardware configuration is decent but when it comes with a heavy Vibe UI. It doesn't offer a good user experience. When it comes on the on paper specs the device looks good but in practical the device feels underpowered and sluggish. A software update might works for the device.
Battery: 2750mAh battery is under the hood. Despite its good capacity it can't last for a day.
Verdict: Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is a very bad smartphone for its price. Competition offer much more value for money offerings.
