Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is the successor of very popular K3 Note. Now the competition grews up and very stiff in this category. Lets see how this old smartphone competes with the new entrants of market.
Design: K4 Note on is mostly made up of good quality plastic. There is a metal band running across its sides which looks cheap. The overall build quality is average. The front is dominated by the large 5.5inch display and the dual stereo speakers. The phone feels a bit large compared to other 5.5inch devices. Overall the phone has good looks but build quality is average and it is not very ergonomical to use.
Display: It comes with a vivid and sharp 5.5inch Full HD display panel. The display is quite sharp and offers food contrast level. Viewing levels are also excellent. But display feels dim in outdoor. Which is a big let down in the fantastic display. Also it doesn't come with added protection on the top.
Camera: K4 note ships with a 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. The specs are good on paper. But things changes significantly in practical conditions. The rear camera module fails to Capture good shots in bright outdoor conditions and things become worse in low lightning. Front camera is also average and don't bring out good shots.
Software: Lenovo Vibe UI is a very heavy UI but this time company brings many changes to UI. The app drawer is back again. Bloatware amount is also now less than before. After all that UI is not very smooth and best described as average user experience in terms if UI.
Performance: On paper it comes with a 1.3Ghz MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. But when comes to practical day to day usage. Things are very weak. When you try to push the device a further it stutters and lags. It also heats up very fast. Gaming experience is very bad on this device. The best part about the device is it speakers. The audio from the front dual stereo Dolby Audio certified speakers are just excellent. But when you movie devices heat up after 20min of video watching.
Battery: It comes with a 3300mAh battery inside. The devices can last fir a day on minimal usage otherwise you are searching for a charger.
Verdict: The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is not a performing device. And lags behind the competition by leaps and bounds. It have decent looks, average build quality, sharp but dim display, Bad set of Cameras, A sluggish UI, performance is worst and average battery life only sparkers offers good in this whole package. But alone they don't make a device a compelling buy. You look for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le1s, Meizu Note 3 and their likes.
